How to use the 2D Cube Net?
To easily synchronize the state of a physical Rubik's cube to the web, we use the professional "cross" 2D unfolded net. Its layout is structured as follows:
Net Mapping (Standard Yellow-Top, White-Bottom)
- U (Up): The top 3x3 grid.
- L, F, R, B: The middle row corresponds to Left, Front, Right, and Back faces from left to right.
- D (Down): The bottom 3x3 grid.
💡 Geek Tip: The underlying engine of this tool builds a Group Theory rotation model of the 3x3 cube entirely using JavaScript arrays. You can click the U/R/F buttons to experience pure mathematical state transitions. Even without 3D rendering, this is the standard underlying protocol used by Computer Vision and AI algorithms to solve cubes.
