About Color Models
The RGB color model is an industry color standard that produces various colors through changes in the Red (R), Green (G), and Blue (B) channels and their superposition. It represents colors through these three channels. This standard includes almost all colors perceptible to human vision and is one of the most widely used color systems.
HSL Model
HSL is a representation of points in the RGB color model within a cylindrical coordinate system. HSL stands for Hue, Saturation, and Lightness. Hue (H) is the basic attribute of color (e.g., red, yellow). Saturation (S) refers to color purity (higher is purer, lower turns gray, 0-100%).
HSV Model
HSV was created by A. R. Smith in 1978 based on the intuitive properties of color, also known as the Hexcone Model. The parameters are: Hue (H), Saturation (S), and Value/Brightness (V).
CMYK Model
CMYK is a reflective color model used for printed materials. How do we read a newspaper? Sunlight or light hits the newspaper and reflects into our eyes. It requires an external light source; you cannot read a newspaper in a dark room.
