What is DNS Propagation?
When you update your domain's DNS records (like changing your website's IP address) at your registrar or DNS host, the change doesn't happen worldwide instantly. Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and public DNS resolvers around the world cache the old records based on the TTL (Time To Live) setting. The process of these caches expiring and updating with the new records is called DNS propagation.
